例:“Many people think that robots will take over our jobs. But in fact, robots can only do repetitive tasks. They cannot be creative or emotional. So we don't need to worry. Instead, we should learn to work with robots.”

A. Robots will replace humans. B. Robots are not as smart as humans. C. We should not fear robots and should learn to cooperate with them. D. Robots can only finish simple work.

注意同义替换(如big→large, have to→must)。

  2. 同义/反义线索:but, however, unlike 提示相反;and, also, similarly 提示相同。
  4. 逻辑关系:因果关系(because, so)、举例(such as, for example)。

5. 作者观点态度题(Attitude/Tone)——听出“弦外之音”

Potatoes are often considered a simple, everyday food. But in fact, they have played a big role in world history. When Europeans first brought potatoes back from South America in the 16th century, many people were afraid to eat them. They thought the strange-looking vegetables might cause disease. It took nearly 200 years for potatoes to become a common crop in Europe. Once they did, however, they helped feed a growing population. In Ireland, the potato became the main food for the poor. So when a disease destroyed the potato crop in the 1840s, disaster struck. About one million people died of hunger, and another million left Ireland forever. This event is known as the Irish Potato Famine. Without the potato, the history of Europe might have been very different.

When did Europeans first bring potatoes to Europe?

A. In the 14th century. B. In the 15th century. C. In the 16th century. D. In the 17th century.

思路:题干关键词“first bring potatoes to Europe”对应第一段第二句“When Europeans first brought potatoes back... in the 16th century”,选C。

What can we infer from the passage about the potato's effect on Ireland?

A. Potatoes made Ireland rich. B. The Irish Potato Famine happened because people ate too many potatoes. C. Potatoes were very important to the Irish poor. D. Potatoes were unpopular in Ireland.

思路:文中说“Potatoes became the main food for the poor”,且当土豆被毁时,大量人口死亡和移民,说明土豆对爱尔兰穷人至关重要。A(变富)无依据;B(因为吃太多)错误,原因是病害;D(不受欢迎)与事实相反。

The word “disaster” in the passage probably means ______.

A. a great success B. a terrible event C. a happy celebration D. a small problem

思路:上文提到土豆作物被病害破坏,“disaster”后面描述了“one million people died... another million left”。

2. 积累“信号词”:but, however, therefore, as a result, in fact 等,它们是逻辑的指南针。

Passage 1: “The study found that students who listened to music while doing maths actually performed worse than those who studied in silence. However, students who listened to music before studying showed improved performance. It seems that music can be distracting during the task but beneficial for preparing the brain.”

What is the main idea of this passage?
A. Music always helps students study better.
B. Listening to music during studying is harmful.
C. The effect of music depends on when you listen to it.
D. Students should never listen to music before exams.

Passage 2: “Tom walked into the room with an angry look. He threw his bag on the floor and yelled, ‘I can't believe they changed the schedule again!’ His friend Sarah quietly put a cup of tea on the table. Tom sighed, picked up the tea, and said, ‘Sorry, I didn't mean to shout.’”

What can we infer about Tom at the end of the passage?
A. He is still very angry.
B. He is calming down after his friend's kindness.
C. He doesn't like tea.
D. He is going to change the schedule himself.

答案:

  • 1. C(文章对比了不同时间听音乐的效果,结论是效果取决于时间。)
  • 2. B(Tom
